The coolest 6-month-old on the block

With DK both out of the house today I spent time shooting some pictures of Mara while she played on her big sister's bed. There are now 96 pictures to go through - here are just a few. Drew & I both noticed a change in her this morning, as if she grew up overnight. It is all happening much too fast. I wish there was a way to keep her small forever.

On the move

Playing tourist - we were so high (up)

Friday was the day in Vancouver. While Bumpa was holding down the fort, Grant & I put on our best smiley faces for 12 solid hours of head office hoopla & grueling interviews. It was exhausting, but more than worth it. At the end of it all we found out on Monday that we'd been approved as owners of Vancouver Island's 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise. Phew! We weren't quite sure how to prepare ourselves for a rejection. "I'm sorry...you two are just not quite qualified to haul junk..." What the?!? Thankfully that call never came & we are now a part of a very interesting & successful company. The idea might be a simple one, but the structure behind it is fascinating and we are excited about this opportunity to have more control over our future. This whole journey started with Nana's visit in January. It was her that lit the light bulb & we are so thankful!

What this means is that we will be moving to Nanaimo for a July 1st start date. Our house hits MLS today! Between now and July 1st we have a lot to do. But, like we have joked before - we aren't pregnant, so... why not move and/or start a business?
