Goals & X-Rays

Yesterday was a big day for both Drew & Kai. Kai had an X-ray on her right foot thanks to a fall off the playground equipment on Sunday. She hadn't put any weight on it in four days, crawling around the house muttering, "Don't worry 'bout me, I'll be just fine." She took it all like a champ and absolutely charmed all of the techs in the office with her 'bravery'. When she emerged from the x-ray room (I wasn't allowed to go in with her in my 'condition') she was holding the tech's hand, trying to walk. I guess Kai had said to her, "I think I should give walking a try again."

Thankfully her foot looks good and nothing is broken. She is starting to step on a little more today and I am very thankful that my 4 days of carrying her around are over!

Drew had a very successful night last night. Not only did his friend Chloe confirm to me that they are indeed "real" boyfriend & girlfriend while she sat with me on the sidelines of Drew's soccer game, Drew scored the first two goals of the season to bring his team to a 2-0 win! What a proud moment for us! Drew beamed with pride and immediately cashed in on dad's promise of a loonie per goal.

Tomorrow is my 18 week ultrasound and while we have decided not to find out the sex of Baby #3, it will still be very exciting to finally see the little person who is making me eat so much.
