This morning Drew was the star of his class as he got to bring a living, breathing subject for show & tell. Mara was a trooper through it all & when she wasn't sleeping she was smiling. It was far more exhausting for me just trying to follow along in french. Sadly, I have no idea what was said half the time.
Drew beamed with pride while answering all the kid's questions:
"How small are her diapers?"
"Is she zero years old?"
"How do you take care of her?"
"How do you feed her?" (To that Drew answered, "This one time she was eating and she chopped down on my mum REALLY HARD!" That answer produced loads of confused faces on the kids, sympathetic glances from the teachers and then quick distractions)
One boy offered me a dog-chewed rubber ball, "This is from me for your baby."
And my favourite:
"Is she looking at all of us and thinking that we're aliens?"
